Locked myself out of Steam, halp...

So I had a slight oversight when I deleted my Gmail, I forgot to change my email adress in Steam... now I can no longer log on because I forgot my password...

Does anyone have a workaround to this, or do I have to buy a PS4 or Xbox to play fallout from now on?

You deleted your gmail? When you choose to make a new one it will automatically pick the gmail you deleted and you will have access to that gmail again. All previous mails will still be there aswell

I did not start another Gmail account. I terminated the Gmail account and started an account with another e-mail provider, not Google.

Anon means you should get your gmail-account back to get Steam to send you a new password. Look here:

I was talking about how he could get back the gmail if he was logged in with his google account and picked to create a new gmail. I’ve done it several times and the mails it just restores the gmail you deleted

But it was a while ago, and I would rather not reactivate my gmail because someone hacked it.

I have contacted Steam support and will see what they can do for me. Thanks though.

Yeah, probably...

Now I remember the password but Steam wants me to type in a code from my no-longer-existing-email-adress, in order to "prove that I am me", just because I have not logged onto Steam from this computer with the new harddrive before... wtf...
