I would say it's mostly habits! avoid cold water avoid cold food avoid wearing anything not practical...etc!
also it's very important to actually take cold vitamins even if you weren't sick on the first winter week for example. I eventually wear socks and avoid going out much. You know we middle Easterns take double cold damage. Do you live somewhere very cold anon?
