>>58273051Where to begin... I'll give what I can remember off the top of my head but I really do recommend reading previous threads if you want details.
So SOS are mainly a Sailor Moon group but they have 1 person, Akiko, who has spent around the past 6 years singlehandedly translating and subtitling Pokémon from the original series forwards.
There are a few issues with this 1 translator. Prime among them is that she (if it even is a real woman, which we'll get to later) doesn't have very good Japanese. There are plenty of plain factual errors and instances where she displays that she doesn't have a very strong grasp one the language, such as in pic related as one anon explained - that the original Japanese is saying the literal exact opposite of what she(?) thinks it's saying.
Another thing is the ideology infesting the SOS fansub group. To put it mildly it's saturated with gays, trannies and the whole ideology of LGBT that goes with it. Their discord server where this emanates from is an absolute nightmare. It also infects the work they did on Pokémon. I was the anon who has access to said discord server who posted a ton of screenshots in one of the previous threads showing just how bad it was in there. They're basically a load of mentally ill trannies. Now, that doesn't mean they can't be good at Japanese, but their translator isn't that good at Japanese and fills in the blanks with mental illness ideology. The discord server is full of posts from this woman(?) going on about the reasons why she(?) made X or Y decision in the fansub and it's... illuminating, I'll say that much. Pic related, where she(?) writes a wall of text essay pondering whether pokémon (the creatures) engage in gay anal sex.
A result of this mixture of poor Japanese and tranny mental illness is that the dialogue can be very confusing. Way too many people and pokémon are being referred to as "they" to the point where you can't figure out who the fuck they're even talking about.
