At the risk of turning this into some off-topic /pol/esque debate - the control the regime has is seemingly unchallengeable and the monetary incentives for everyone involved are massive. That said, "ease of access" is potentially already on its way to being limited via things like the vaccine passports. This however doesn't solve the problems that normal fags bring to the areas. (At least not immediately) What
>>2307828 said about setting up semi-wilderness alternatives closer to population centers is something that's already being done with the construction of greenways and other foot/bike paths across the country. The problem with this solution is that it comes alongside ever increasing regulation on wilderness areas due to things like the supposed destruction by hikers, cyclists, etc. and climate change. Which is ultimately why it's being done. It's a sort of easing people into being content with traveling less outside their city while making it increasingly difficult to do so for those who are not. The whole "live in the pod, eat bugs, own nothing and be happy" thing that central planner types preach rather than actual human-centered conservation of the land.
