Bae was getting a LOT of hate around the time of Fauna's graduation because she was one of the first to speak up after the announcement and directly contradicted the rrats about black company management after Fauna's vague statement whipped everyone into a frenzy. Fauna following this did nothing to dispell this hate or the rumours surrounding it and it only got worse as Bae for instance didn't join in on the final world tree building stream, with many fans of Fauna's metaphorically spitting on Bae and calling her a bootlicker. This caused her intense mental anguish because, as she would explain in a later mengen, she's among the talents then end up disagreeing with and fighting with management the most so to be called a bootlicker and told she's unloyal and betrayed her friend really really fucked with her mentally and put her in a horrible headspace at the time combined with everything else going on (like how she already knew her bff mumei was leaving by this point as she desperately tried to keep her around). So when the time finally came for Mom's announcement, Bae was fucking mentally destroyed by both losing her best friend and the fear that she'd be attacked again on top of it and told she's the reason for it when she fought the hardest to keep her around.
This was all explained in a membership zatsu not long after Mumei's announcement.
