It looks to me like the issue always was that only one mod instinctively and actually understands everything about this place and literally fucking no other ones do. This site existed long before /vt/ and so one good guy out of a couple dozen can't really hold them back. The board is pearls before swine for the loser faggot poltard mods. All of them. The only bright light that actually was trying to be a happy positive place and drawing in new life to the site the last decade and they were too butthurt and jealous about it to learn a single thing about how all this came to be and how to sustain it.
As one (rather two with old /hlg/) thread on /jp/ where it was all good meido (I dunno if we should rally call him sharkmeido anymore) had to watch over it must have been far easier. When we got a board shit quickly grew out of hand when it was clear the rest of the mods outside him were super insecure about making a board just for Holo basically and hence wanted to encourage all non-Holo stuff to try to not look biased. Because whatever Suzie Shitpants indie with 5 viewers on twitch was ranting and shitting her pants about Holo favoritism in staff nonstop out of pure jealousy that she can't just be a fake Holo and instantly get thousands of viewers and millions of dollars like whatever dreams all these shitty twitch hos had.
