Man Din don't utter a word. Instead, she's focus-turned-human, already flaring with the burn of True Qi.
The quieter of the twin clearly ascended from her status of "runt of the litter" to "powerful versatile tool" thanks to several factors.
First, her prized spirit, the <span class="mu-s">33-beast Shapeshifter Spirit</span> - which even underwhent two major qualitative changes, first <span class="mu-s">Awakening</span> in Growth Realm; then somehow stealing Aris' Quicksteel's property during the second stage tribulation.
Then, her treasured Weapon, the <span class="mu-s">Aspect of the bound partner</span>, an astral weapon shifting to match a bounded spirit.
Last, her unique skill - <span class="mu-s">Aspect of the Shapeshifter Spirit</span> : by forcingly merging her Shapeshifter Spirit to her Astral Self, she can shortly take the beast's characteristic.
Of course, for any of this to work, she trains like a madwoman to master all the beasts and weapon interractions. And she broke through her first minor realm before you; dispatched her sister with long claw-strike using the Aspect of the Panther and you're pretty sure she popped a few <span class="mu-r">Qi and Blood Pills</span> before the match.
You being last year's winner makes you a prized target, worth of not holding anything back. You attempt a couple spear thrusts...
"<span class="mu-b">Might of the Elephant! Aspect : great Axe</span>"
The weapon fluidly takes the shape of a two-meter tall twin-blade - almost an halberd. Overing above her shoulder, the spirit gives her strength.
>Rolled 36 against DC 60
A smooth, fast strike cut cleanly your training weapon. But you still literally have a couple tricks up your sleeve.
"You give me no choice, sister. You tipped my hand to show a trump I'm hiding since more than one year."
Your right arm bent toward your left ear, you display a textbook knife-hand strike. Your effect works : what looked like an ornemental jewel slided along your arm. You grasp the chain, doesn't stop the movement : The <span class="mu-s"><span class="mu-g">Jade Rising Star-Phoenix</span></span> is flying.
"<span class="mu-b">Resilience of the Turtle! Shield!</span>"
The bird-shape payload nimbly turn around the obstacle, almost striking your opponent.
"<span class="mu-b">Power of the Boar! Hammer!</span>"
Despite the difference in cultivation, that weapon is too clumsy to catch on the elusive bird, retreating, looping behind your back, striking again from the opening created by the wide strike.
"<span class="mu-b">Cunning of the Martle! Dagger!</span>"
Man Din hunches over, somehow diminishing her apparent size. Her quickly summoned dagger blocks one strike. That disrupt your motion way more than planned - that Quicksteel aspect seems exceendingly efficient against Jade.
She leaps toward you in an attempt to close the distance. You pulled the bird back; she ducks, avoiding the phoenix-shaped part of the weapon.
