They need to appeal to MEN some more and not default to fujoshi bait and performative gay shit for the sake of it. How you attract male viewers is by being GOOD at something, especially competitive games or something like speedrunning but taking it seriously and actually holding a record in the top 5. Other notes:
>Male vtuber designs are hard to pull off because men cannot match the visuals of the ikemen model with their voice, even if the voice fits, their attitude does not. Women have an easier time matching their voice with whatever feminine model they get, it's part of the reason they dominate.
>Male vtubers should not default to swearing and teenage vocabulary humor as an immature man is gross for everyone, gives off discord kid vibes despite the ikemen model which is just jarring
>No one cares about men that can sing well, no more boyband shit unless it's real tryhard 3D dancing or an actual band actually playing good music
>SEXPESTING- it would help if 95% of all male vtubers didn't go fucking haywire the second they get SOME form of female attention. You can immediately tell these guys get a boner from a girl saying hi, it's cringe and goes back to that kid behavior.
>Again, focus on more niche things like actually being good at games. Video games, card games, whatever. Men like to see other men compete and slowly but surely build up to a total victory. Your male audience are your bantz bros and your bros in general, don't make them feel gay just for being there.
>To appeal to women, just don't be a weirdo. Be serious, but still nice. Pander only a little bit to them but don't go all in.
>Don't be cynical or ironic, try to be as genuine as possible. Too many men rely on being ironic dipshits as a default online personality.
>Loud does not equal funny, you can't get away with it like girls can and men will hate you unless they are also loud, usually teen kids are like that
I can go on but that's all the general weaknesses I've seen. Honestly though? just don't become a male vtuber at this point. Magni, Vesper and nijiEN males fucking ANNIHILATED all hopes of people ever perceiving male vtubers in a good light or giving them a chance. Those did irreparable damage, more than any hater ever could, at least on the EN side of vtubing.
