Telephone poles is harder to pull off. With the the internet you have fewer data centers that can take up massive platforms. Now you have these AI data centers that are extremely expensive and only a few corporations have. People right now are extremely greedy and betting on getting on the technology that will get them rich at all cost.
and maybe to some degree they are right to do so since it could bankrupt everyone else at this rate if the investors who put their money on this shit and the researcher who shill it are right.
im 99 % sure AI bubble will crash though. For a few reasons. Mainly that they aren't that productive, they don't improve past their training material, laws and regulations haven't caught up yet.
it could downscale slowly over time, but I don't think it will happen because people are so greedy and putting all their bets into these billion dollars AI centers.
