I think a key moment in my not chasing women anymore was when I was mowing my lawn in the summer wearing nothing but my boxers and my sweaty disgusting pudgy body was on display and I waved to some neighbor I don't even know the name of. A few years before that I was self conscious, concerned with appearances, but I didn't care in that moment. I realized I don't care how I'm seen anymore. Stopped seeking approval or status or belonging to any social group. At least 30% of people in or seeking a relationship are doing it because having a partner and kids etc. makes you fit in more, be less of an outcast in your age group. I voted for Trump in 2016 and 2020, but after January Sixth I told myself I wouldn't vote for him again. However seeing what has happened these past four years made me reconsider. After watching him fight against the corrupt judicial system, watching them try to bankrupt him, and even getting shot in the head, then seeing the RNC last week, I was almost certain I would vote for him again.

I made lamb shoulder chops, but they could have been better. They definitely need a good marinade and/or to be smoked to get some good flavor in them. Slow cooking or braising isn't enough on its own.
