I've never stopped playing old games. Played some obscure JRPG on SNES during the Christmas holiday. Comfy.
On an emulator of course, collectorfags are cringe. Every time they cry about the "authentic feel" or some shit, I just add another filter in the emulator.

Because emulation is super easy so the only people interested in carts is people willing to pay nonsense prices so they charge nonsense prices. If you want to play the game you just fire up an emulator or even buy a handheld emulator box but if there's a game you had as a kid and got rid of or never had and still want now you'll pay a premium.
