Well, the spine of America is an English one whether it likes it or not. The Germans had cultural influence in the form of foods like hotdogs, the Italians in the form of pizza. Scots introduced whisky-making. African Americans have a distinctive culture of their own. It just seems like the Irish haven't really given a standout cultural trait or achievement to the US in the same way as other countries, though I'm sure people with Irish ancestors have had individual successes
