Can you guys explain to me what the appeal of weed is to you? Every time I smoke I just get anxious and paranoid, I doubt I have ever had a good experience. Not saying I care whether it's legal or not, guess I just don't get the appeal.

Recently moved to Colorado and decided to try it myself.

I got anxious and paranoid until I discovered CBD.

What I do is buy a CBD and THC breed of weed and mix it with a straight THC breed of weed. I use a scale to measure 0.25 CBD/THC and .75 THC strain.

My joints are 25% CBD/THC and 75% THC strain. CBD keeps me calm so I can actually enjoy the weed.

If you don't live in a legal state its going to be extremely hard to do this as shops label their strains in CBD/THC %.

But yeah, keep at it.

Yeah, start with a 50% CBD and 50% THC then move to 25% CBD and 75% THC.

Younger people who do it were failures, I'm done with college and in my early 30s and just started trying it since I moved to Colorado.

Was scared shitless of it while in the military since they piss test you like 4-5 times a month in a combat arms unit.

I dated a 21 year old stoner tomboy for a year. She smoked weed constantly because if she didn't her anxiety and agression would skyrocket.

I've smoked it a few times and it's kind of fun as a novelty but I prefer my daily dose of Adderall since it makes me money.

It's all about dosage. Some people can smoke 24/7 and have it barely effect them, some people get obliterated off of one puff. I quit for a long time after college because I would always get too high and be plagued with "bad thoughts" for an hour or so til I leveled off. In the years since then, theres been a huge jump in technology resulting in a bunch of new and improved delivery methods. I currently use a vaporizer that you load ground up buds into (as opposed to a liquid or whatever), set it to the middle temperature, and take 1-2 puffs. The next time I smoke, I set it to the highest temperature and do the same thing. Once I've gotten two smoke sessions out of a load I dump it. That gets me feeling good and gives the effect I want without turning me into a schizo, and it makes my stash last a lot longer.

Weed, through a vape, is incredibly goid at pain mitigation.
A couple of rips and within 15 minutes your pain is gone.
The other effects hit you like a beer.
You dont need to get wasted on it and the hose effects subside within 10 minutes.
There is a reason why perscriptions for pain killers drip off in places where weed becomes legal.

I have had two spinal fusions witch left me with rods in my back, couple of months ago I torn my rotator cuff and upper bicep tendon so for pain I smoke and if it’s really bad I eat some they used to give me oxy now no pharmaceutical narcotics .

seriously before I started talking celexa I couldn't handle it to well, but after I starting taking that , I can smoke it and have a nice high, no problems with the paranoid part, you might have anxiety naturally (mine didn't hit till my early 30's ) and doctor prescribed me that, shits a lot chiller now than it used to be

No, it makes sense to keep people more productive. Letting off the throttle once a week corresponds to using a stimulant for work, whereas stepping on the brakes once a week corresponds to recreational cannabis use. Denying people the possibility of slowing down at all, makes for people who are stuck on full throttle in wage slavery, to spite those who grind to a halt from lack of self control. It seems we don't trust people to be productive on weed.

Fair enough, I know what you are saying, I used to pretty much think like you when it came to this stuff, but I have a friend that smoked a lot and wouldn't shut up about how relaxed it made him feel and all the sensations he experienced. It hot to the point he wanted to grow his own and I just couldn't phatom why.
