The Southern Torrent Salamander is small with almost rubber-like skin typically coloured dark olive or brown with yellow spots and endemic to the Pacific Northwest from Northern California to Northern Oregon. Looking at the little amphibian gives the appearance of a small sticky rubber toy with a string or one of those octopus toys where you throw against the wall and flops scaling down to the floor (please dont try it with one).
