Just think about all the creatures that didn't make it too, having no idea there homes would be underwater.
It's insane that life can adapt that way. And makes me wonder if homo sapiens didn't have to go through something similar, which explains our loss of hair and increased intelligence.
It's a random theory I have that maybe proto-hominids had to swim a lot more than previously and ended up losing their hair over time because of it and some races learned to do it well and one race definitely fucking didn't.
