To add to that, there cannot be too much cheese, or too much grease, the sauce and peperoni are what really make it, the cheese should just be there to keep it all together, not slathered on like it thinks its a topping.
Now the crust is the main point of contention between pizza lovers, personally I think all styles of crust are good when done right for different reasons.
I member this place that we had when I was a kid that had like really thin kinda dry crust that was almost like breadsticks on the end, not my favorite but I do miss it sometimes. It was yum.

Anchovies, Bacon, Pepperoni, Crushed Garlic, sweet red sauce mozzarella and sri-rancha drizzle. Fucking good stuff man. Btw they get that thin crust close but not quite there to my youth pizza.
