Darling is kind of like the Hammer Mjolnir. Mjolnir is the most powerful weapon in the universe but because of a fly (loki) biting the eyelid of the dwarves who made it to distract them, it caused a flaw in the weapon. A flaw that if it wasn't there, Mjolnir would have even been more powerful. But alas it wasn't.
But that doesn't mean that Mjolnir still isn't a ridiculously powerful weapon.
Such is the case with Darling, even those the last 6-8 episodes of it are international warcrimes against humanity-tier, the first 16 are so good that it would still be wildly incorrect to call the series a bad series.
