Quoted By:
Christ is the Word made flesh. Christ is the two-edged sword, and it is his tongue that cuts through the lies of Satan, the sin of man. God is the Author of Life. If the Son identifies himself as Word, as Logos, and the Father is identified as Author, and the Holy Ghost as the Breath of God, how do you think there is ever a misplaced word in all of human existence? Even the lies of the Devil are fit to God's Divine Plan. Christ is the Word made flesh. Therefore, by his life we will understand his words, and by his words we will understand his life. Christ says he has come to bring a sword; when he is arrested, he tells Peter to put up his sword that "he who lives by the sword will die by the sword;" immediately after this, Christ dies for his words, for the Truth, to redeem mankind. The Word is the Sword of the Spirit, which is the Sword of Truth, which is Jesus Christ. To live by the Sword of the Spirit is to live in imitation of Christ. Never does Christ pick up a physical sword, and almost never are we told of anything but his words. How can any of this be considered coincidence? No. Even the coincidental is instruction. Christ did not bring peace, but he is peace. This world is given over the Devil, and peace is not of the Devil. To live in this world is not to have peace. But to live in Christ, one will have the peace of salvation, the peace of Divine Love. Those who live by this Sword, will die by it; those who live in the peace of Christ will suffer as he suffered. All who live in this world will be subjected to confusion and unrest, to a lack of peace, and only those who give up their worldly life will receive a life of peace in the world to come. This is not my teaching, but the teaching of the single, visible, indivisible, everlasting, apostolic, and catholic Church.
