The real basic tldr is that upon actually going to this huge church, being poor and getting my clothes from places like the Salvation Army, was made fun of for having tattered and mismatched clothing. Just let it slide, because being poor makes you kind of used to being an outcast. But after the sermon and singing, which I completely forgot, we went to study. All the children in their age category. Tried reading the Book of Mormon and instantly got a headache. That wasn't like me, since I was an avid reader, and spent most of my time in libraries. Had no problem reading, until this very moment. Set the book down for a bit and tried to refocus. The headache went away. Tried reading again? Instant head ache.
Got up and left, told them all I felt sick and was going to go to find my mom with the adults. Never went back. Place gave me bad vibes all around, just wanted to get out.
