Anyway.
Bright side to going through all those mutants is that I got an MP5 from the flea market. For an insanely low price. Only 15k roubles for the thing. That's even lower than the shittiest sawn-off TOZ that you could get.
And I'm pretty sure this is literally just a mistake. I'm definitely not supposed to get an MP5 for that cheap in survivalist, also considering that other traders outside of the flea did have it for a way higher price.
But, you know. Couldn't help it when I saw that tag, it was half as cheap as the weapon that I was planning in going back to buy.
Maybe it's a cursed gun? Like how in movies they sell fancy cars for really cheap because their previous owners died in accidents, or something.
Protip. Everytime you come across something that looks out of place in STALKER (I'm not bothering to put the dots between the letters), just tie it into lore somehow.
Or maybe it's intended. Flea markets do tend to be places where shit goes for cheaper, I think? Even the ammo that I got along for it went for too cheap.
But oh well. Honestly, it doesn't matter that much that I have a decent gun.
The MP5 is super helpful because I'll need to aim less and I can shoot a lot of bullets for cheap, but I still have the default suit. One shot from a well-placed bullet or a single mutant bite is enough to kill me or at least put me on the brink of death. I'd rather run around with a decent suit and have a garbage gun that jam every 6 shots rather than naked with a decent gun.
Also that, 9x19 still isn't the deadliest ammo. Probably gonna take half of that 30 bullet magazine to bring any fast mutant down.
One another thing, it turns out that survivalist is actually not much grindy. All quests give a decent payout if you know what to take, ammo has a tight cost but nothing unfair, and I've gotten everything I want so far from not that much doing.
But that may change when I get to wanting new armor. They're like 50-70k even for the semi-decent ones. Ah well.
