>>19493523>>19500581>"Priscilla....." Carmody hugs both of them close, not squeezing too tightly due to her own lack of strength, and not wanting to aggravate Priscilla's state of injury or distress. The reassuring warmth and closeness of both Priscilla and Sola assuages Carmody's own regrets about the match. The loss still stings, and the pains and aches of the beating Nikki Kade administered are settling into her body as the last of the adrenaline in her system wears off. She slowly draws back, just enough to look at each of them in turn. She looks first at Sola Fire and squeezes her shoulder.
>"Sola, thank you so much for being out there for me tonight. That was not the outcome I wanted in that match. I'm sorry I wasn't better. I will be next time. But having you there meant the world to me. YOU mean the world to me."Carmody looks next to Priscilla.
>"And Priscilla. Thank YOU. You saved me out there. I know how hard this must be for you. I can see what it's costing you. What it cost you just now. I'm so sorry that happened. But I'm so grateful for what you just did. Thank you."She goes in to hug both Sola and Priscilla again.
>"I may not've won tonight. But any time I can, any way I can, I want you both to know I'll be here for you. I promise."After lingering in the hug for a while longer, Carmody slowly drifts back. A twinge of pain beneath her ribs, and the way the room briefly blurs in her vision with the movement, reminds her of her own battered and weakened state.
>"I've got a big day to get ready for tomorrow. If you're really okay, Priscilla, I might go make sure everything's still in one piece and then call it a night."Carmody squeezes Priscilla's hand warmly and gives Sola a quick kiss, then begins to back away, but pauses one more time.
>"Thank you both, again. Seriously."
