it can be served cold or warm. if served cold you get a collection of sausages (blood sausage, bratwurst, headcheese, ...) some picles, mustard and some slices of sourdough bread. if served warm like in the picture you normaly get a bratwurst, a liver dumpling, a slice of stuffed pig's stomach [we call it saumagen] garnished some sauce and fried potatoes or of course classical sauerkraut.
