>>21399336A lot of rice is already infested with pantry moth eggs when you buy it. If you but rice in bulk you've gotta freeze it for a few days to kill the eggs, and any larvae that have hatched. You also will want to vacuum seal it afterwards to help protect it. I use a mixture of regular food saver vacuum bags, and jars which I seal with this Mason jar attachment for a regular food saver machine. It works with regular jar lids, and sucks out the air to seal the jar. It's super handy for storing bulk foods. You can also throw in an oxygen absorber to really help increase the shelf life.
