Important side notes: Romans details exactly what Saul the Pharisee's motivations were in spreading this jewish cult to non-jewish non-believers. It was because he wanted their financial and military assistance for the jewish revolt that occurred not three years after his visit to Rome. And we know this for certain, because he even mentions it explicitly in Romans, that non-jews "owe" jews in Jerusalem money for the privilege of learning about their jewish religion. Jews are also stated by him, repeatedly, to be above or at least equal to christians, and that they weren't "discarded". Thus we see his is creating a framework whereby jews are at the top of the spiritual paradigm, and christians are beneath them, and "owe" them. Such is how modern christianity functions today.
Why does this matter?
Because christianity is Paulinism.
All of it. 100% of christianity is stuff Saul made up. The only reason any christians believe what they believe is because of him. And how is this possible? Because Saul's church was outside of Jerusalem when the jewish revolts began, and when James and the other original members of Rabbi Yeshua's entourage were wiped out by Roman soldiers, Saul's church survived. Thus the very brother of Rabbi Yeshua, the man left in charge by Rabbi Yeshua, was put to the Roman sword, while some random guy who merely claimed to have had "visions", ends up being the cornerstone of christian religion. Every single denomination, no matter what, has its source in Saul.
Also, he remained a practicing obedient jew until death. Take from that what you will.
