>>20858852I have a theory about the pagan gods and how they persist. In popular fiction you see analogs for most of the pagan gods, some are a little on the nose like Thor. Others are like a certain god, for example Flash is like Mercury. Well the theory is that all of the various demons, are old gods, who persist as egregores, as ideas, as concepts, either as themselves or as an archetype of themselves. For example Superman being an archetype for yahweh (considering Superman was created by jews) or possibly Jesus if you like the Zack Snyder Man of Steel version. He even has the death and rebirth of Isis/Jesus.
Another example is chaos magic and the chaos god KEK which had it's revival here on 4chan in past years. You don't see the memes as often anymore but I'm sure a lot of chaos magic users still lurk here and elsewhere around the web.
