I think it should be pointed out to you people that Obama won the electoral college as well, which clearly shows it's not as broken as you think. I don't like trump either but we gotta realize the system isn't the one that's completely to blame, it's society.
And a true democracy would be horrible as it would turn into an oligarchy. More of what it already is today.
