Think about something you enjoy doing, then try to find something similar to it that is a trade or profession. I also worked on small engines and do carpentry work, not quite finish work, but close, and work on my vehicles.
Over the years there were times when I couldn't believe I was getting paid to do the work. There are going to be tough days, sure, but that's why it's called work.
