That rejection you saw could be a sign it conflicts with our oral history, which, afaik at least, is still the most accurate account of 1st millenium BC Egypt.
Oh and the "Our lady of Fatima" 100 year anniversary is coming up as well. That has been very central to our christian practice. I actually have a pendant of Fatima on right now. Check that out too.
