>Never read that. Is it any good?Yeh more or less, the doctor's backstory struck me but the pacing is kinda too quick. I expected the creature would have appeared in the middle of the novel but no, it has already turned up on chapter 6.
>Talking about that, Chekhov is a pretty good writer desu, definitely one of my favorites (although if you try to read him in russian, you`ll probably stumble upon a bunch of anachronisms desu).I'm torn between waiting to get a solid grasp of russian and reading English translations but my I'm not so sure I'll be able to master the language in less than 5 years.
