Maybe he wasn't fully fluent in English; the victors could have taken that and turned it into "he didn't speak it at all" which is likely considering how 99% of everyhing taught about Adolf and Natsoc Germany is distorted and warped and often based purely on lies. I know Goebbels was quite good at English.
>>10254196Yes, I know all about that. And there was no way the Germans could win against both the USSR and the USA (who had unlimited resources and an ocean away) at the same time. If the campaign against the USSR had started when it was planned to (which it didn't because the stupid and selfish Mussolini decided to attack Greece which caused many weeks of delays), then Germany would have won the war (against the USSR) very quickly that year. But the USA and their allies would very likely still remain antagonistic and invade Europe together later.
If Germany had remained purely defensive, not done anything to help the Germans in the east, and allowed Stalin to attack Germany then the world would have seen clearly who was the aggressor and who was the victim, and it would have been politically impossible for the USA and their allies to start a war against Germany, as there wouldn't have been any pretext and no reason for it, and no propaganda about Germany being an evil aggressor etc. Soon the world would see the threat of the USSR and many countries would probably end up allying with Germany eventually.
