I don't mean to try and evangelize you, but this sort of thing is why the gentiles eventually picked up off where the jews left off, and why the more devout jews stuck with the gentiles and became priests of the Church
if you try the Orthodox Church, you'll see we still carry on devotion and tradition, and we see ourselves as the same as the jews from biblical times as opposed to most other sects that see themselves as distinct
the choice is yours, to wait for a new messiah, or to wait for the messiah that came and will come back
