>>21304899>you are just babysitting themOf course, it's not like that like at all. With maybe one exception, video games were not something my past girlfriends would have done on their own time. It was something we did together occasionally--instead of watching a movie, we'd get through a level or two.
>>21304894This misconstrues the issue. If someone actually has romantic feelings for you in a relationship, they're likely to find your interests endearing. There is a difference between being passionate about something and being a mindless consumer, which is certainly where the line between cuteness begins and ends.

>>21304901 -- as long as it doesn't interfere with daily life and obligations. If you're actually passionate about games as a medium (you can talk about them in an academic sense, you have a wide amount of mechanical knowledge about how games work and why... basically, can you talk about games beyond "let me tell you about this one time" or "let me review this for you," if it's a genuine interest), then you can probably get away with more focus, as it's clearly something that's more for you then consuming a product. Also, if you make games or are otherwise attached to the industry, that makes a difference, too. Most people play games to pass time and escape. Most people can't tell you anything about games other than, "I like this, and I don't like that."
