If "Satanism" is defined as "Mix of things people who consider themselves Christians and worship Jews don't like right now"...
Then any time the Christians fuck up, people are going to embrace the list of naughty things they're not allowed to do. If the Christian is "sinning" and then asking for forgiveness, what's the point of not sinning?
That's how I think a lot of people see it.
Because the "sin" feels good for them.
Sex feels good. Drinking feels good. Drugs feel good. Eating feels good. Dancing feels good. Reading and writing feel good.
Christians have this weird way of equating "things I don't like people doing" or "things I'm jealous of" with "things that are literally hurting someone or people"... So wearing the wrong clothes becomes the same thing as murder in their minds.
It's not healthy.
Rebelling against narcissists with control issues becomes standard routine and people look for any outlet to do that.
That's where fashionable merchandise selling "Satanism" comes in.
It's all just role play and make up when it comes down to it.
As least that's what my atheist ass sees it as. No reason to be super contrarian to Christians and just dress up as their antagonists either.
