Art is hard but the reward is more than worth it imo. There's no obligation to be a master at something yr doing for fun and yes literally everyone was complete ass at art in the beginning. The people who get good at it r the ones that just kept going.
Really think abt what u want to make and yr motives for making art. Do you want to be good just to be good at it? do you want to make a specific type of thing? (landscapes, portraits, abstract, comics, animation, books, characters)
Figure out what you love to make and then focus solely on doing that. You don't have to do fundies and whatnot right away especially if they discourage you from making anything in the first place.
Do what makes you happy man. No matter how cringe or crappy or whatever it is just keep doing it. It's for you first and foremost. don't worry abt what other ppl think bc there's always gonna be someone that doesn't like it and that's 100% ok
