Moreoever, this mindset still exists. Posting and browsing 4chan still requests to understand and handle some codes. In some threads you can guess easily who's been there for a long time and who hasn't just by looking who's understanding jokes or who's not. Maybe there's no more content, but the content still ask some "experience" to be understood.
