>>10924094I was best friends with and lived with a service industry professional (i.e. a waiter) in my early 20s. Self-important, narcissistic, drug-taking alcoholic degenerate who refused to work more than 8 hours in a day so that he'd have time for his "hobbies." In reality, all he'd usually do is smoke weed and play video games. Everyone I met through him was also a drug-addled alcoholic degenerate. He's now a communist.
The "service industry" is basically how you describe. On the low-end it's ex-cons and ghetto sheboons, in the hip resteraunts it's just overeducated cokeheads who don't want to get a real job. I've never met anyone of value who stayed a waiter for more than a year or two, who would want to? It's a job for teenagers or people who screwed up so bad in life that they literally can't do anything else. Anyone doing it longer than that likes the lifestyle of getting blackout drunk 4 days a week, sucking coke residue out of the little plastic baggie, microdosing at work and having no relationships more complex than a high school level, which should be taken as a major red flag.
