If electromagnetic radiation bounces and bends as you say then why should we trust any of your measurements? Most likely follow winding arcing paths through space and by the time it reaches your view it wouldn't even be coming in from the same direction that it started and all of your observations would be completely incorrect and meaningless since you have no way of knowing the true path they took before reaching your instruments.
It would be like somebody showing up at your door, you know that they are at your door but you don't know if they came in from the East or the West. How does a science worshiper reconcile that?
