>>20576324Dude, I fell for the DRS meme, and those 300 shares don't have a cost basis anymore. They show up as "Non-Covered" so if I sell them, then I'll have to harass Fidelity to provide them with the right info. I called them up the other day and they said the best they can do is send me a form to manually input the cost basis myself. It's so damn frustrating, like do I really have to bean count every fucking trade just so I don't get fucked on cost basis from now on. FUCKING LMAO. There's gonna be a rude awakening for a lot of people when they try to sell from Computershare and they get fucked by the IRS next year for a missing cost basis. I really do feel for them. Should I hire a stock broker / tax attorney / accountant to straighten this out to further close out my trade? I don't want to sell these shares until I get the cost basis sorted out.
