>>10745312Tell me about Hanako. Why does she have the burns?
>stuff like pizzagate is allowed to blow up like that in order to divert the masses' attentionBut is it really much of a distraction? The only people distracted by it are the same bozos who'll believe anything that comes out of /pol/, plus maybe a few boomers, or whatever we're calling them now. I guess it's possible, anyway.
>Maybe you have, being American and all.I hadn't, no. We mostly use Ikea here, which's on the complete opposite end of the spectrum. That seems like a decent racket, though, since the cost of production can't be any more than your average piece of furniture. Just don't see how they sell people on that junk.
>escapism often goes hand in hand with nostalgia.True. Like a lot of these things, and like the feeling itself, it's hard to put into words why I like it. Haven't put too much thought into it, though. It does have something to do with nostalgia in that those were the kinds of media I liked the best as a kid, so it just transfered over into the now.
>Is that why anime tends to rely a bit too much on CGI these days?Hmm, maybe? I'm not really sure. Though, while it isn't the kind of 3d renders you might have in mind, just about all animation is still computer generated these days. I mean maybe that doesn't have to be said. But if you don't know much about animation, maybe it does.
