It's getting late, she's got a lot on her mind, and she's pretty drunk, so it might be about time to part ways. She finishes her beer, then reels Sheila in and gives her a hearty drunkard's hug and friendly clap on the back.
>"I'm so glad I ran into you, Sheila!"Colby backs up, with a fond, tipsy smile. The alcohol's compelling her to speak a little more freely than she otherwise might.
>"I'm glad you're back, in general. You bring something special to this place that no one else really does. It might sound weird, but our world was a little smaller without you in it."A sentimental note lingers in the air for a moment, then with drunken aplomb she claps Sheila on the shoulder.
>"Anyway, though - get in touch with me if you ever wanna meet up, or hopefully I run into you again soon! I could use a drinking buddy - I might not look like it, but I can throw one back with the best of them, these days."Colby chuckles weakly at her own admission into becoming a chronic heavy drinker, but doesn't dwell on it. Instead, she pulls a little card and a pen from her purse, and quickly jots down her number along with the name "COLBY" in bold black ink.
>"If you get your phone situation straightened out, call or text me any time. Otherwise, you'll be hearing from me anyway: I'll get your address, and then I'll be sending a wedding invitation."Colby gets up from the bar and looks around for Sapphire, but of course doesn't see her because she's an invisible ghost. She speaks to her anyway as she starts to leave.
>"Glad you stopped in too, Sapph. This cell phone thing gave me an idea: When I get back, I'm gonna ask one of Priscilla's guys to get a mic and a tablet with a text-to-speech app set up that we leave on twenty-four/seven and have it hooked up to the intercoms and our cell phones. That way you can talk to us any time. Somebody really shoulda thought of this earlier."
