>>15648009>literally interpreting the bible.doesn't that really just mean that you can just change anything in the Bible to fit what you want? if it doesn't fit you can just say that you are interpreting it too literally?
Sounds to me like you don't understand 2 Peter 1:20:
>Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet’s own interpretation of thingsScripture is not just “a matter of one’s own interpretation,”
It's not like Joshua's long day is the only example!!
>Revelation 7:1 “After this I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding back the four winds of the earth to prevent any wind from blowing on the land or on the sea or on any tree.”>Isaiah 11:12 “And he shall set up an ensign for the nations, and shall assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth.”>Genesis 13:17 “Go walk through the length and breadth of the land, for I am giving it to you.”Not to mention the countless verses that directly contradict your model. How could God stop the earth like you say when it explicitly states many times that the earth is immovable! it's a huge theme. What I was saying about God making sense, I meant He is consistent. "I am the Lord, and I do not change. Malachi 3:6
>Psalm 104:5-6 “He set the earth on its foundations; it can never be moved. 6 You covered it with the watery depths as with a garment; the waters stood above the mountains.”>1 Chronicles 16:30 “Tremble before him, all the earth! The world is firmly established; it cannot be moved.”
