As Sola addresses Carmody it's clear to Amy that there is something going on between these two, the blush in Sola's cheeks, the dilation of Carmody's pupils, the body language, open and yet slightly restrained, that wasn't the only thing that caught Amy's eye - there was something in Carmody's hand, too small to be a knife, not a knuckle duster, a roll of dimes perhaps, it's a little cliche but still enough to do damage. Working the bars and nightclubs of Spaghettitown had made Amy acutely aware of hands, eyes, body language, her perception was very good and her senses were telling her to stay vigilant, she was herself carrying a weapon of course, after the run-in with C.A.M.O. it had become imperative to stay armed.
>"Hello Carmody, the last time we met was under less than ideal circumstances. Sola and I were just burying the hatchet, we've both said and done things we regret but if I've learned anything over the past few weeks it's that life is too short for silly grudges and it's never too late to start over, y'know?"Amy runs her left hand through her hair and cautiously extends her right towards the younger Jefferson sister.
>"If you're Sola's friend then that's the only endorsement I need, but I guess you're kinda like family too, so uh..."Having never had a sibling before and finding herself flustered at the prospect of perhaps having a sister someday Amy finds herself lost for words and just trails off with her hand hanging awkwardly outstretched towards Carmody. Feeling embarrassed she finds herself looking to Sola for a something that might reassure the rookie Jefferson that all was well.
