It's like saying Gypsies and Germans are the same people because they're both European.
The "Jews" of today were Moloch worshippers in the OT, Pharisees in the NT.
Of course, the word "Jew" originally just meant "follower of God." It was not meant to be confined to am ethnoreligious group, but rather was co-opted by the dirty kikes so that they could claim to be "God's chosen" despite him coming down as Christ and telling them specifically that they were evil hypocrites who had no place in the kingdom of God.
I have at least half a dozen examples of passages in the New Testament I can give you off the top of my head to prove this point.
