What you present is historically accurate for the most part. However, the very foundation of the majority of the first religions known to modern man are based on celestial events and patterns. This is irrefutable upon correlating ancient similarities between religions beyond stories. Depictions in their art are also similar and lend to the theory of ancient celestial events being the root of their religious beliefs. I am not including any theory of ancient living humanoid deities that may have directly communicated with people in these times though that itself is very well possible. I am soley focusing on the principle notion of planets and stars being the main inspiration for religion.
