Gender may be a consequence of your biological sex, but it's of no significance to your core self.
Your argument that your gender is 'arbitrarily' assigned at birth is about as useful as complaining that your name is arbitrarily assigned at birth.
And what right or power does anyone really have to 'define themselves' - not only is that TRULY arbitrary, but it is also an unforgivable attempt to control other people, their thoughts and opinions. You can't go round defining yourself as a 'funny person' and demanding people laugh at your shit jokes out of respect for your right to self-determination; it would be similarly futile, and demanding for some bloke to demand that I should see them, treat them and think of them as a woman when clearly they are not.
