i just think self promoting streams and videos in most places is so deplorable. i get that you have to start somewhere and get an audience somehow, but nothing makes me instantly think less of a person than seeing them grasp at viewers in discord servers, youtube comments, or god forbid games themselves. it simply doesn't work, turns recreational spaces into ads, and puts forth such an air of superiority
