>>14293339he made that interview right after he returned from Operation Highjump.
This Operation was meant (officially) to train maneuvers for bad weather conditions in the antarctic. Now they went there during the antarctic summer, and yet had to abort the mission early, supposedly because of too bad weather. iirc they even lost a ship and a few planes there.
So its not without reasons you have rumors of an engagement with breakaway nazis here (even more so if you assume his diary to be legit), and the timing of the interview seems to relate to the antarctic expedition rather than being a general statement.
>>14293342you cant fight off more than 10 fold of your troops with a couple experimental aircrafts. Some documents suggest they had maybe a dozen of the different models. Further by using them in combat without proper testing (as they were just in development still) you risk them crashing behind enemy lines and have the enemy retrieve the technology for themselves.
As for why they are not returning, if they were to return right now they would be perceived as aggressors and the evil enemies. They would have to fight the very people they would fight to free. So unless people actually want help to BTFO our current traitorous governments there is not much the Nazis could do other than fighting the civillians and they are better off to just bite their time
