>>13340275The old and new testament are the most accurate ancient texts on earth. The dead sea scrolls confirmed this with the OT. There is a thousand year gap between the scrolls and the oldest extant copy of Isaiah at the time, and they are 99% the same. Differences are in spelling and punctuation errors.
The NT is just as good. There are no other ancient texts with more scroll samples to see and study. The massive number of texts prevents any lies from going wide spread, since any alterations would stand out like a soar thumb.
I would recommend 'Evidence that Demands a Verdict.' It heavily details the facts surrounding the transmission of Scripture and how it was translated to secure the original meaning and intent of the texts.
For me it comes down to knowing the facts behind the almost insane accuracy and preservation of texts over thousands of years. There is zero way this could be done short of divine intercession. Humans cant even relay their daily routine without forgetting shit. Seeing texts stay the same throughout literal eons just solidifies the authenticity of Scripture and the omnipotence of God.
