The commandments—“You shall have no other gods before Me,” “You shall not make idols,” “You shall not commit adultery,” and others—all point us to the way of life that reflects God’s design for humanity. Jesus Christ, the perfect human and the exact image of God, untainted by sin, showed us how to live in perfect obedience to God the Father, even to the point of death.
Christ’s life, death, and resurrection are the ultimate example of what it means to live a truly human life in communion with God. To follow Him is to align ourselves with the eternal Kingdom, where worldly borders and allegiances will no longer hold meaning. Instead, what will matter is our faith, love, and obedience to God’s will.
