Have you considered taking your boat across the sea and visiting Norway? That would be an experience, I bet. You can dock almost anywhere out in nature, if you don't want to pay to dock in a town.
Also, pic related is my old boat. Way too expensive, both to buy and to use. I mean, outboards run on gasoline, and that's taxed far more than "boat diesel" here in Norway. Christ, they really want to strangle everyone, don't they? They pretend it's a luxury tax, but it's not like I'm fucking wealthy. If anything, it's the working class and middle class boat owners who get fucked by the fuel taxes. The wealthy can afford it.
